1. Fundamentals of Refrigeration – Introduction to refrigeration principles, heat transfer, and system operations 

2. Piping, Brazing, and Welding – Techniques for joining and sealing refrigeration piping systems.

3. Safe Handling of Refrigerants – Proper procedures for refrigrant management, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.

4. Electrical System- Level 1 (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration – Basic electrical concepts, wiring, and circuit analysis in refrigeration and air conditioning.

5.  Commercial Air Conditioning: Installation, Servicing & Maintenance – Practical training on large-scale air conditioning systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

6. Domestic Refrigerator Repair – Diagnosis and repair of common faults in household refrigeration units.

7.  Electrical Systems – Level 2 (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) – Intermediate electrical applications, including motor controls and fault diagnosis.

8. Electrical & Mechanic Controls in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration – In depth study of control mechanisms and system automation.

9. Electrical Systems – Level 3 (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration ) – Advanced electrical troubleshooting and integration with refrigeration systems.

10. Commissioning of Cold Rooms & Freezer Rooms – Final system setup, testing performance evaluation , and compliance with industry standards

AUTHORIZED REFRIGERATION PRACTITIONER LICENSE 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 
Valid SAQCCG as Safe Handling License (Registration should not be expired for longer than 3 months)

This training and assessment program is designed to ensure compliance with legal requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, specifically the Pressure Equipment Regulations (clause 17-18), as outlined in Governement Notice No. 85 of 1993 (July 2009).

As legally mandated course,  succcessful completion enables individuals to register as  Authorized Person in the relevant categories with SAQCCG as (South African Qualification & Cartifications Commitee for Gas).

 COURSE DESCRIPTION & OUTCOME:
